The coach Emerson Avila on Monday summoned the Brazilian squad for the Under-20 South American category, which will be held between January and February 2013 in Argentina. The highlight of the list of 27 names is attacking midfielder Rafinha Alcantara, brother of Thiago Alcantara, son of four-time Mazinho and one of the main promises of the base of Barcelona.
Rafinha was born in Brazil and has dual nationality, as well as his brother, and even defended the Spain under-19. In March, the youngest of Mazinho came to be called by Ney Franco for the Brazilian U-20, but ended up not being released by Barcelona for the Mediterranean International Cup.
