Cruzeiro

Jones, 19, had produced a late rally to land her trademark head-kick and stun world number one Tseng Li-Cheng of Chinese Taipei 10-6 in the semi-final.However, the opening against Hou - who had beaten Jones in last year's World Championships final - was tense, as each fighter tested their range during a scoreless first two minutes.
France will play in the final of the Olympic women's Basketball tournament for the first time after pulling away late on for a comfortable 81-64 victory over Russia.
France continued an impressive Games by knocking out a Russian team ranked joint-second in the world alongside Australia, who lost today's earlier semi-final to the USA.

Spotakova retains Javelin title


czech Barbora Spotakova won the final gold medal of the evening at the Olympic Stadium, successfully defending her Javelin Throw title with a best effort of 69.55m.
Each of the 31-year-old's first four throws were over 66m and would have been good enough for victory, with Germany's Christina Obergfoll taking silver with 65.16m.
beigning Olympic Games champions Russia made a strong start to the Team competition at the Aquatics Centre today as they put themselves on course to defend their title.
The Russians, who started the competition as favourites, performed their Technical routine to Russian Dance by Denis Garnizov, and came away with the top score of the day, 98.100.

Jamaica takes gold, silver and bronze in the men's 200m sprint

With just three weeks to go to the London 2012 Paralympic Games more tickets have been sold for the competition than ever before in the event’s history.
The record 2.1 million surpasses the previous record of 1.8 million tickets sold for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. Over 600,000 tickets have been purchased in the last month alone, with more tickets still available.
Seb Coe, Chair of the London 2012 Organising Committee, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted with how the British public has responded so far to tickets for the Paralympic Games.’
Kenya's David Rudisha tonight lit up the Olympic Stadium with a sensational victory in the 800m, breaking his own world record in the process.
As Chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and former Olympic 800m silver medallist Sebastian Coe looked on, Rudisha made the most of ideal conditions, storming through the first lap in 49.28 and powering to the gold medal in 1:40.91.
Carli Lloyd was the USA's Olympic hero again as they avenged their World Cup final defeat by Japan and took gold with a 2-1 win at Wembley.

Julius Brink and Jonas Reckermann won by two sets to one, 23-21 16-21 16-14, but it took them five match points to settle the contest.
It meant there was no fairytale for Brazil's Emanuel Rego - the 39-year-old who won gold at Athens 2004 and bronze at Beijing 2008 and was competing in his fifth Olympic Games - and Alison Cerutti.
Usain Bolt tonight secured the legendary status he craved by becoming the first man ever to win the Olympic Games sprint double twice in succession.
Bolt's winning time of 19.32 was outside his own world record of 19.19 which he felt might be a possibility, but the 80,000 crowd had already witnessed one such feat as Kenya's David Rudisha stormed to 800m gold in 1:40.91, taking 0.10 off his own record.
Bolt had lost to Blake over 100 and 200m at the Jamaican trials - and later underwent treatment on a stiff back which was causing hamstring problems - but gained sweet revenge over both distances in London.
